On May 4, 2019 at Kaleti folk house will start Tweed bike ride 2019. Event is one of activities planned in Project No LLI-361, Capacity building and links strengthening between municipal administrations and local communities in order to improve living conditions and social life in rural areas of Kuliai (LT) and Kaleti (LV) (Sports activities). Everyone is invited to meet at Kaleti Folk house at 12 p.m. The participants of the event have to think how to design their bike and choose appropriate clothing following the fashion trends / style of the 20ies and 30ies of the last century. The event is organized with the aim to promote cross-border co-operation between the communities of Kaleti (LV) and Kuliai (LT). During the event, people of both communities will have a leisurely bike ride on small roads and will enjoy the magic of the nature. There will be stops to take photos. Tweed bike ride will end with the White Tablecloth Celebration to mark the Restoration of independence of the Republic of Latvia. During the event the participants will enjoy the circus studio “Bez temata” performances and will be able to sing songs accordion accompaniment.
