Partners from Lithuania and Latvia will implement first in project planned activity on Lithuanian side. Developing the established cooperation between the local communities of Kuliai (LT) and Kaleti (LV) Ripka competition will be arranged in Kuliai eldership. Ripka is a team game that comes from an old Lithuanian folk game and its story begins in the 17 century. The purpose of the event is to introduce the Latvian quests with the history and rules of this game, to arrange some training and using all acquired knowledge and skills to organize the short sport competition. The implemented activity will give the inspiration for local inhabitants to become more active in various sports activities, to learn more about Lithuanian game and traditions and also will have a great influence to the better cooperation between local administrations and local people. Event will start at 3 pm at Kuliai gymnasium where guests from Latvia will have a review of the stadium to be reconstructed. The construction of the stadium was resumed in early spring. After visiting the stadium, participants will see the city and go to Ripka for training and competitions.
