Open call for applications for Klaipeda’s one week programme of practical seminars and creative workshops Visual Thinking: Design Opportunities and Practical Solutions is launched within the framework of the project “Paradigm shift from “traditional” to creative industries – the essence for sustainable regional development” (CCI & Sustainability)
Klaipeda Culture Communication Centre (KCCC) announces an open call for applications to take part in an open one-week programme of practical seminars and creative workshops Visual Thinking: Design Opportunities and Practical Solutions. During public seminars and creative workshops, participants will have the opportunity to theoretically get to know and practically explore the possibilities of the visual thinking applicability and to test methods that can help to implement innovative creative ideas, based on design solutions. The session of practical seminars and creative workshops will be held on 21 to 25 October 2019 in Klaipeda (Lithuania).
The session will aim to actualize and highlight non-technological innovations, such as design thinking and integration of design solutions that manifest themselves both through the changes in business models and through the organization of personal creative processes. During the workshops, lecturers-practitioners will encourage you to analyze your brand identity, the specifics of visual communication in social networks as well as their advantages and opportunities, and to perform various creative tasks.
In an open one-week programme of practical seminars and creative workshops Visual Thinking: Design Opportunities and Practical Solutions, four representatives of the Latvian partners of the project _ two from Kuldiga and Liepaja regions each _ are invited to participate. The cost of their accommodation, catering and tutorship will be covered by the funds of the project CCI & Sustainability. Klaipeda Culture Communication Center (KCCC) organizes art projects, introduces relevant trends of contemporary art, develops creative industries, initiates collaboration between art organizations of Klaipeda, Lithuania, and foreign countries, and develops cross-sectoral artistic and educational programmes.
The educational programme of Klaipeda Culture Communication Center is held in the framework of joint project No. LLI-338 Paradigm shift from „traditional“to creative industries – the essence for sustainable regional development. LLI-338 (CCI & Sustainability), implemented under the INTERREG V-A Latvia – Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020. Leading partner: Kuldīga District Municipality, project partners: Klaipeda Culture Communication Center, Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Academy of Arts, Liepāja Creative Industry Cluster, and LiepājaMusic, Art, and Design School. The total budget of the project is EUR 220,193. 06, including EUR 187.164,08 of the ERDF funding.
