The module aims to expand knowledge and acquire skills about Dolphin Assisted Therapy (DAT) for specialists working with patients with neuro sensomotor disorders. During this module students will absorb material on the applied principles of DAT in Lithuania and other countries. The Dolphin Assisted Therapy centers worldwide will be
overviewed and discussed (USA, Israel, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania, et.al.) as well as pet – therapy impact on the organism of human being. Conducted studies, research and regulation will be presented. Different methods of therapy will be analyzed, as well as ethical issues and welfare of dolphins. Students will learn working with individual cases: involving one case study method, problem solving, programs for the clients.
