Consumer trends and the problem of single-use plastic pollution are strongly linked and cause growing concern. In response to the challenging environmental situation, regulatory mechanisms are becoming more strict. The EU directive on the reduction of the environmental impact of certain plastic products entered into force on 3 July 2021 – political will dictates the urgent need to move towards sustainable solutions.
The forum “Single-use plastic in Lithuanian and Latvian coastal areas: challenges and solutions” will search for answers on December 3rd!
Insights brought from different sectors will ensure a wide viewing angle of the current situation – the program features speakers from the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, Klaipeda University, Kaunas University of Technology, Klaipeda and Nida municipalities, business organizations, experts of the Foundation for Environmental Education Latvia (FEE Latvia).
The program will be announced soon.
Target audience: business, government and public organizations, waste management specialists/ solutions providers.
