At the 25’th of February, the second urgent Project Partner meeting through Zoom platform was organised to discuss about organization of the planned training in Liepaja taking into account an emergency situation on Latvia.
The International Join Training and Workshops on people safety assurance during the low season, which are planned at February, are needed to increase the competencies of rescuers in case of incidents at various non-swimming locations and during the low season. This is a rescue of recreational fishermen on the ice, as well as rescuing people camping or with small fishing (swimming) tools in case of accidents. The one-day event is planned for up to 80 participants.
Project coordinator of PP4 (The State police of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia) presented the current situation in Latvia – the government plans less restriction from March and it is possible that there will be no restrictions from April.
But due the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine is again the situation not clear in the coming months and also might be some restrictions again. Because the organizer the need the time to prepare for trainings, to find lecturers, experts and so on, partners agreed that the best time for organize the trainings is the April.
The urgent Project Partner meeting was finalized by the discussions about details of International Join Training and Workshops organization, future project events and important dates.
