Description: Ventspils county is a municipality located in the Western part of Kurzeme, created on 2009 when 1 town (Piltene and rural territory) and 11 parishes (Ance, Zlekas, Ziras, Targale, Usma, Ugale, Uzava, Varve, Jurkalne, Pope, Puze parish) of former Ventspils district were united. Territorially it is the 2nd biggest county of Latvia, it’s territory is 2472 km2.
