Description: Klaipeda Culture Communication Center (KCCC) is the creative structure of one of the biggest art centers in Lithuania, and today it operates International Art Residence and workrooms & studios, the Exhibition Hall, and the culture web site www.kulturpolis.lt. KCCC organizes national and international educational events in creative industries, contemporary art projects, disseminates information about culture and creative industries. KCCC also presents experimental events of modern music, organizes meetings with the artists, art curators and art critics, seminars and lectures to review the points at issue and tendencies within creative industries. Arts and Crafts Courtyard, administered by KCCC, is a unique cultural segment in the seaport, which has united the initiatives of demonstration of creative work and young artists as well as integration of various social groups into the process relating to the knowledge of art, thus giving an input into development of creative enterpreneurship. The culture portal www.kulturpolis.lt is aimed at analyzing and reviewing the Lithuanian art stage, presenting tendencies, points at issue, information about art competitions, residences, and the biggest art events in the world. Each year KCCC organises around 30 exhibitions (including 2-3 large international), over 80 educational events, workshops etc. KCCC has an experience of cooperation with designers, artists, curators, and creative institutions from the Baltic Countries, France, Germany, Nordic countries, Ukraine, Russia, etc. This project will promote Center's operation within the field of creative industries. Organising educational activities will give an intput into labor-market skill's development for new or existing businesses and help improving the employment sector in the area.

Idea: Expansion of KCCC Arts and crafts courtyard functions - synthesis of art, science and design will help to efficiently use KCCC workshop spaces: working with new technologies, acquiring new skills, availability for public public use in the creative industries sector.
