Date: 11. April 2019 - 12. April 2019

Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Pan-Baltic meeting is an international knowledge-transfer workshop for LAMPREY project, mainly orientated to scientists working with lamprey ecology and management which will aim to share, learn and discuss best stock assessment and management practices for Baltic lamprey stocks. The LAMPREY task is to reinforce sustainable, scientific data-based management of river lamprey resources, therefore the Strategy for sustainable stock maintenance, protection and management will be developed. The Strategy should and will incorporate results of project surveys (on population genetic structuring, fishing mortality, migration barriers inventorization) and best practice shared by the experts in the pan-Baltic workshop. For knowledge transfer, the specialists from the Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Poland, United Kingdom, Portugal and Canada are invited. The representatives of Ministries (Agriculture and Environment) of Latvia and Lithuania as key stakeholders are invited as well.
