Second joint international cross-border business problem-solving workshop will take place at
Rezekne’s Academy of Technologies.
23.05.2019. – 24.05.2019.

During the 2n workshop it is planned to implement a problem based learning in life-long-
learners‘ practical training. 40 life-long-learners (20 from Siauliai region and 20 from
Latgale region) from the target groups – youth, disabled persons with higher education and
individuals with a low education level – will improve their employability competencies.
Workshop will be implemented according to Life-long learning programme (LLP). The aim
of this programme – to develop employability competencies for youth, disabled persons with
higher education and individuals with low education level by integrating real-life cross-
border business problem solving into the education process. The programmme promotes
young peoples entrepreneurial culture and initiatives, develops entrepreneurship, develops
and improves business skills problem solving, develops critical and analytical thinking, and
develops creativity.
The content of the workshop activities includes aspects of creating,
commercializing and selling a new product (goods, services).
The workshop will be focused on marketing, promotion and advertising, business communications and ethics, public relations, sales management, project management, e-business, international business knowledge and skills.
During the workshops it will be used problem-based learning method, teamwork, analyzed real-world business situations, examined specific cases of business activities and their problems. Activities carried out in the international workshop (tasks
performed) must enable the application of problem-based learning method, allow participants
to get acquainted with the business environment and trends of the neighboring foreign
country (Lithuania or Latvia).
