Crafts and cultural heritage of the largest Lithuanian ethnographic region – Aukštaitija – are cultivated
and cherished in Panevežys district.

Upyte Traditional Crafts Centre brings together craftspeople who
promote old crafts. While travelling around Panevežys district you will learn about the life of Aukštaitija,
experience the ceramics, leatherwork, straw garden making, wool felting, candle casting and other
educational programmes, learn the secrets of folk medicine, hear the history of the mill which dates back
to the beginning of the last century, and get to know guests from far away – alpaca and Angora goats.
