Center for Environmental Policy (AAPC) operates in the fields of environmental law, environmental economics, environmental financing, environmental impact assessmet, strategic environmental assessment, environmental due diligence, environmental education and public relations, environmental quality monitoring and control, environmental auditing and approximation of Lithuanian environmental laws with European Union legislation. During the eighteen years of operation AAPC consultants have implemented over 140 projects. AAPC has been involved in numerous projects covering technical assistance to support the process of Lithuania’s and other countries’ integration into the EU in the environmental, in particular water, sector. The Center has worked in Central Eastern European, Western Balkan countries and Turkey and has gained wide experience in implementation of international projects. Recently experts of the Center have been deeply involved in the implementation of the water sector directives, such as the Water Framework, Marine Strategy Framework and Floods Directive.
