Daugavpils City Council in cooperation with Anyksciai municipality has organized the 1st partner workshop on challenges of improvement of urban wetlands.

The topic of 1st partner workshop is “Urban wetlands in cross border region Latvia-Lithuania: challenges of improvement of eco systems and services”. The workshop took place via zoom platform on March 9th -10th 2021. Participated more then 20 participants: representatives of Daugavpils and Anyksciai municipal administrations, external experts in the field of urban wetlands’s preservation, eco-services providers as well as representatives of eco-educational sector. Current situation and challenges of improvement of eco systems and services were discussed, as well as possible solutions were reviewed and debated.  Moreover the structure of future common Joint Action Plan on management of urban wetlands in cross border region Latvia -Lithuania were deliberated and reflected by experts and  specialists, responsible at municipalities for environmental issues.

Total ERDF project funding 319 719,36 EUR.
