Kick-off Steering Committee I meeting within the INTERREG V-A Latvia-Lithuania Programme project LLI-082  „SYNERGY FOR SECURITY”.

Opening speeches will be presented by Mr. Gunars Upenieks, Chairman of Kraslava municipality, Latvia, Mr. Ints ĶUZIS, General, Chief of the State Police of Latvia; Mr. Vaidotas Žilys, Deputy of Head of Utena County Police Headquarters, Lithuania; Mr. Valentinas Urbonas, Vice – Chief of the Border Control Unit Ignalina frontier district of state border guard service, Lithuania.

Mr. Gints Pīpiķis, Senior Expert, Latvia – Lithuania Programme Division, Development Instruments Department, The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia will present the INTERREG V – A Latvia-Lithuania Programme. The history and strategy of the project “SYNERGY FOR SECURITY” will be presented by Mr. Juris Pastars, Chief of Latgale Regional Department of the State Police of Latvia, project activities and work plan – by the project main co-ordinator Mrs. Ilze Stabulniece. Presentation of newest video surveillance systems will be provided on-line. Partnership Agreement will be signed between project partners.
