LLI-337 Conference “How cultural organizations can create better economic and social conditions in deprived area”

LLI-337 Supporting creativity, activity & entrepreneurship of inhabitants from Daugavpils-Zarasai regions’ deprived territories, by using sociocultural measures (Create to remain)

Conference “How cultural organizations can create better economic and social conditions in deprived area” in homestead of Smalvos (Zarasai region) will open the project “Create to remain” on 26-27 of June, 2018 and invite representatives from cultural organizations, government officials, start-up’s, artists and people to share the best practices regarding creative approaches to sell artwork and how cultural organizations can contribute in decreasing level of emigration and to create better economic and social conditions in the deprived area of Zarasai region.

2 craftsmen experts Erikas Čypas (woodcrafting) and Erikas Hincas (ceramics) will represent their storry of success – how to do the job you love and forget about working at all because if you love your job it is not a job anymore, it is your lifestyle! They also will organize educational programes of their crafts of woodcrafting and ceramics.

15 participants from Lithuania (Turmantas, Suviekas and Aviliai, Zarasai region) and 15 participants from Latvia (Vabole, Demene, Naujene, Daugavpils region) will spend two days together and with representatives from cultural organizations, government officials, start-up’s and artists, craftsmen will try to answer the question “How the culture can save the world?” in a little bit smaller contecst of deprived territories on Zarasai and Daugavpils regions.
