Media and touroperator tour to Kaunas district (LT)

On June 7th and 8th, 2022, journalists and representatives of the tourism sector from Latvia are invited on a trip to Kaunas district‘s towns by the river “TOP 9 places to visit in Kaunas district”.

During the sightseeing tour we will visit the most popular sights and objects of Kulautuva, Vilkija, Zapyškis and Kačerginė, hear stories about the glorious past of the interwar resorts, get acquainted with water tourism possibilities, bicycle paths and other tourism activities.

June 7, Tuesday

12.00 (optional) Arrival to the HOTEL KAUNAS, (Laisvės al. 79, Kaunas).
The guests come to the hotel if there is a need to leave travelling things.

13.00 Arrival to the Raudondvaris manor (Pilies takas 1, Raudondvaris, Kaunas district). Presentation of the manor, visit to Kaunas district tourism and business information center.
The guests from Latvia arrive on their bus to the Raudondvaris manor. From here on, the group travels on our bus.
13.30 Lunch at Raudondvaris orangery restaurant.
14.50 Arrival to Kulautuva.
Visiting Kulautuva’s Mineral Water Buvette and the Valley of Gods and Goddessess.
16.00 Arrival to Vilkija.
Visiting the church of St. George and the Square of Louis Armstrong. Crossing the river on a ferry “Vilkynė”.
17.10 Arrival to Zapyškis.
Tour in the church of St. John The Baptist and visiting the dredger NEMUNO-7. Sailing to Kačerginė on a holiday boat “Zapyškis”.
19.00 Arrival to Kačerginė.
Dinner in a restaurant, visiting Linden park and Spring’s square.
21.30 Arrival to HOTEL KAUNAS (Laisvės al. 79, Kaunas).
Overnight stay.

June 8, Wednesday

From 07.00 to 10.00 Breakfast.
Before 12.00 Leaving the hotel on your bus back to Latvia.
