Public city environment accesability event for people with visual impairments and their support persons as well as other interested persons on June 29th in Liepaja, Latvia

Program of the Event:
- 9:30 to 11:30 – Excursion through the Liepaja city environment. The route of the excursion: Square near the shopping center “Kurzeme” – Promenade – Kūrmājas prospect – Beach Accessability Complex in Liepaja Central Beach Station.
- 11:30 – 18:00
Active recreation at the Liepāja Beach Accessability Complex involving participatns of the Event and other interested persons.
Everyone who is interested, including children, will be offered the chance to get into shoes of people with visual impairments and other disabilites – encouraging them to swim in specially adapted buggies and walking on the beach blindfolded with assistant.
As well as:
- Play large-format mind games;
- Play board games, such as chess adapted for blind people;
- Tandem Wheel ride.
