2020 year has brought a lot of uncertainties, restriction and stress for all project “SEE ME”/LLI-436 partners, but despite all the difficulties, all partners has successfully finished the creation of educational-training for disabled children.
The created programs are very different, but all of them are very useful and perform educational, entertaining, recreational functions; they help the children be involved into the activities of the community. While participating in educational activities, children‘s attentiveness, honesty, patience, and endurance are developing, culture of communication is forming, benign conditions for the child personality increase is creating.
Lead partner Visagino “Verdenės“ gymnasium has created two educational training programs: “Cinema/animation studio” and “Orchestra”.
“Cinema/animation studio” program is designed to enable children to experiment, test new forms of activity and ways of knowing, develop their creative powers, acquire new skills, learn to communicate and collaborate. Children will create fairy tales, stories, animations and sounds. Outside activities are planned: children will watch the birds, other wildlife phenomena and create videos about it.
Music studio “Orchestra” aims to facilitate positive changes in behavior and emotional well-being and is essentially a social activity involving communication, listening and sharing, performing for other people. By developing creativity, self-expression, vigilance, self-sufficiency, children will learn how to regulate their behavior.
Partner Molėtų r. Kijėlių specialiojo ugdymo centras prepared two educational programs “Dealing with wool”, “Ceramics and Clay Therapy”.
One of the most important areas of education for children with disabilities is the development of visual and touches sensations. Students will develop fine motor skills and cognitive abilities: children will not only see contrasts, separate colors, shades, shapes and sizes of items, their quantity and place in space, but they also will feel the texture of materials.
Dagdas novada pašvaldība also prepared two educational programs – “Young researchers of nature”, “Fitness and mind therapy”.
Outside activities are very important for children with special needs. The programs will teach them how to become researcher of nature – students will learn how to recognize and evaluate certain natural phenomena and processes, learn how to use research skills to solve problems, how to conduct research, express their opinions, draw conclusions, participate in discussions.
The pilot testing of the programs with target group will start in November.
