Latgale Planning Region invites youth from Latgale region and Visaginas and Ignalina municipalities to take part at the international street culture festival – sports competition “Ghetto Games in Daugavpils!” in the framework of the Interreg V-A Latvia–Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014–2020 project LLI-402 “Sports for Social Inclusion of At-risk Teenagers” (acronym „risk-free“). The event will be held on July 6, 2019 in Daugavpils (Latvia) at the main square of the city – the Unity square.

During the event 2 disciplines for teams of different age groups will be organized: 3×3 basketball tournaments “Ghetto Basket Satellite” and 3×3 street football tournaments. In addition, participants will have a chance to take part in the individual disciplines – football “Panna 1vs1”, power and strength track, basketball shooting contest and football strength measurement competitions. Technique and rules of the individual contests will be explained to the participants during the event.

Already from 11:00 o’clock the registration for the International 3×3 basketball (streetball) tournaments Ghetto Basket Satellite” will be opened. Starting from 12:00 o’clock the tournaments will start in different teams of age group: U12, U14 boys, U14 girls, U16 boys, U16 girls, Women, Armatures and Pro*.

Also the registration for the 3×3 street football tournaments “Ghetto Football” will start from 11:00 o’clock. From 12:00 o’clock teams of different age groups: U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17+ girls and U17+ boys* will start their competition to find out the best team!

The power and strength track will start from 12:00 o’clock. There will be 5 disciplines where individuals can test their strength: pull-ups on a pull-up bar, endurance on horizontal ladder, push-ups on parallel bars, press-ups on parallel bars and jumps on Jump Box.

From 13:30 to 15:00 o’clock participants will have a possibility to take part at the Football “Panna 1vs1”.

From 14:00 to 17:00 o’clock there will be opened 2 individual disciplines: basketball shooting contest and football strength measurement competitions.

From 15:00 to 17:00 o’clock the street dance master classes will be opened for everyone.

* If there are not enough participants in specific age group, then participants from this age group will join the group of the higher age.

Participants must follow the regulations of internal order and safety rules, which will be introduced to them during the event.

Please note that filming/photography will take place at the international street culture festival – sports competition “Ghetto Games in Daugavpils!” for publicity purposes of the project LLI-402 „Sports for Social Inclusion of At-risk Teenagers“(acronym „risk-free“), The photographs and recordings will be publicly available.
