The Interreg V-A Latvia – Lithuania 2014 – 2020 Programme is pleased to announce that the second call for proposals is now open. The call will be closed on 31 May, 2017 at 12:00 (noon).

The Programme has four priorities:

• Sustainable and clean environment through cooperation.
• Support to labour mobility and employment.
• Social inclusion as a precondition to territorial development.
• Improved quality of living through efficient public services and administration.

National, regional and local public authorities as well as public equivalent bodies and NGOs can apply for the Programme in cross border partnerships.The eligible programme territories are Klaipėda,Telšiai, Šiauliai, Penevėžys, Utena and Kaunas counties in Lithuania, and Kurzeme, Zemgale, Latgale regions in Latvia. The total Programme co-financing available from the European Regional Development Fund for this call for proposals amounts to EUR 21,8 million euros and will be allocated to projects contributing to the Programme objectives. The eligible project activities are co-financed at the rate of 85 %.

To receive information related to the second call for proposals as well as to receive consultation on the potential project ideas, the Programme Joint Secretariat invites potential applicants to attend information seminars.

The first call for proposals was open from 29 April 2016 to 5 August 2016. A total of 158 projects were submitted. 41 cooperation projects with a maximum of 20 862 958 euros financing were selected.
