16 First aid trainings for citizens held in Zarasai and Daugavpils by project partners.  More than 700 people trained in CBC region Zarasai-Daugvipls.

The training included both: instruction and practical training.

Certain skills are considered essential to the provision of first aid and are taught ubiquitously. Particularly the “ABC”s of first aid, which focus on critical life-saving intervention, must be rendered before treatment of less serious injuries. ABC stands for Airway, Breathing, and Circulation. During the training participants themselves had to  practice chest compressions (and thus providing artificial circulation) and pulse checks, also Heimlich maneuver – procedure used to treat upper airway abstractions (or choking) by foreign objects.

All the participants received a free first aid certificate.
