Project’s “Dialogue in the silence and in the dark” film receives an international award
In October, 2021, project LLI-377 “Dialogue in the silence and in the dark” ended with a main outcome – a film that showcased people with sight and hearing disability performing a theatre performance.
Originally the project was supposed to end with a theatre performance that would be showcased in Latia and Lithuania, however due to COVID-19 restrictions it was impossible to have large public gatherings including performances. The project was changed, and a film of the performance was created.
The film has gained international recognition and even an award and nomination in international film festivals after the project ended. In September, 2022 film “Dialogue in the silence and in the dark” won an award in international AFA Anatolian Film award in category – Best short film on disability issue. This is a monthly festival with annual screenings in the different cities of Turkey. The winners are also automatically nominated for the prestigious GOLDEN STAR AWARDS (The Best of The Best). They will be screen the Annual Live Screening Gala in the presence of juries, critics, film scholars, and eminent movie personalities from across the globe.
