Directorate of Biržai Regional Park during implementation of the project “Regeneration, development and maintenance of public territories with environmental problems” (No. LLI-408, LandCLEAN), financed under the Interreg V-A Latvia–Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 have managed an area of 1.38 ha near lake Širvėna in Biržai. The formerly abandoned area, overgrown with trees and bushes, is now suitable for people to visit and relax, also a stand has been built and benches have been installed in the territory.
