08 July 2019
On June 20, 2019 from the early morning, A. Dauguvietis park in Birzai was full of children, and young families. Expectation, willingness and smell of childhood filled the air – everybody waited for the official opening of the playgrounds.
And finally it happened! After official speeches of Birzai district municipality Deputy Mayor Astra Korsakiene and Mayor of Aizkraukle Leons Lidums celebration started – animators played together with children, Mickey and Minnie organized photo session and fun with giant soap bubbles.
The following event will be organized in Latvia. Aizkraukle municipality already arranged outdoor trainers and now, after gaining new experience from Lead partner, will establish playgrounds for children. As delegation from Latvia took part in the family event/playground opening in Birzai, now Birzai team will go to see how outdoor trainers and playgrounds are used in Aizkraukle.
