23rd of November, 2018, The regional CBC and project closure conference of the project LLI-224 QUALITY MEDICAL CARE was organised in Zarasai. In order to share project benefits, invitation letters were sent to adjacent district / city hospitals and institutional specialists. As a result, the representatives of Daugavpils and Zarasai hospitals, as well as representatives of neighboring district and city city hospitals participated in the conference. Latgale region  was represented by 25 persons.

The conference was oriented towards  presentation of the progress and benefits created in the frame of the project LLI-224 QUALITY MEDICAL CARE. The conference also included practical presentation of the purchased medical equipment, that was highly appreciated by health professional from CBC region. Also trends and challenges  of medical services were discussed and and health promotion experiences shared by guests from  Daugavpils city council and Ignalina health care biuro.

Nevertheless heath care ministries in both countries- Latvia and Lithuania were aware of the CBC event, also representative from the Health insurance fund has participated in the conference.

The culmination of the conference was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Zarasai Primary Health Care Center and Daugavpils Regional Hospital.

Both partners, Zarasai Primary Health Care Centre and Daugavpils Regional Hospital, expect that cooperation developed within the project will also continue after the project, that  was successfully  finished on the 30th of Nevember, 2018.
