Description: Tērvete County Municipality is located in Zemgale region. In 2002 Tērvete, Augstkalne and Bukaiši local governments joined together in Tērvete municipality that borders on the Republic of Lithuania. At present there live 3582 inhabitants, it covers the territory of 22,4 thousand ha and the main occupation there is agriculture. Forests cover 16 % of territory of Tērvete Municipality.
