In the spring of 2021, the development of the Sensory garden at the Center of Recreation and Rehabilitation „Pusynas“ of the Ministry of the Interior of The Republic of Lithuania began.

During 2021, some infrastructure works were completed: paths with various pavements were built, a garden gazebo with benches and a table and garden lighting nets were installed, the land was brought in and ready for planting. The Lead Partner has successfully organized procurement procedures for the purchasing of plants. 58 plant species for the sensory garden were purchased and JSC “Isodė” completed the planting of Sensory garden plants in the Autumn 2021.

Klaipeda St. Francis of Assisi monastery of the St. Casimir province of the Order of Friars Minor started to create Sensory garden in the spring of 2021. During the summer of 2021, some infrastructure works were finished:  paths were laid in the garden, garden gazebo built, storage house was built, installation of field engineering networks and outdoor electrical and area lighting work finished, some equipment for sensory garden in Klaipeda St. Francis of Assisi monastery were purchased. Over 100 plant species for sensory garden were purchased and planted. Local community members (children, seniors, teachers. volunteers) were taking part in planting of some of the plants.

The implementation of the project Sensory Gardens at Piejūras Slimnica (Liepāja) started in the summer of 2021. In the Autumn of 2021, the installation of gravel paths and new wiring has been completed, as well as tree planting. Basketball and volleyball courts creation works are completed. Fence was installed, and construction work is currently underway to create sensory garden areas.
