29 March 2018
On 28 March the first contract on implementation of the 2nd Call project “Open Up” has been signed with the project’s lead partner Ludza municipality. This is the first of eight draft Subsidy Contracts that have been signed by the Managing Authority and sent to the lead partners so far. 2nd Call projects were approved by the Monitoring Committee of the Programe in last November. Since then projects’ partners with support of the Joint Secretariat have been implementing conditions of the projects’ approval. It is planned, that the most of the contracts will be signed and the projects will start their activities in the upcomming two months.
Ludza Town Library (LV), Rokiškis District Municipal Library (LT) and Jēkabpils City Library (LV) will work together in the project LLI 263 “Interactive educational space – efficient way of social integration of children from disadvantaged families” (Open Up) to facilitate socio-economic activity of children from disadvantaged families.
As a result of the project, the modernised libraries will ensure self-development opportunities for children by providing them a possibility to extend their outlook, so they spend their free time more meaningfully and acquire new skills by using modern technologies.
