With additional seminars in Bauska and Utena in response to the very active interest on behalf of the participants, the Interreg Latvia – Lithuania has now concluded its public information events. The Launch Event in Liepāja (Latvia), seminars in Telšiai, Kaunas, Anykščiai and Utena in Lithuania and Jelgava, Daugavpils, Kuldīga and Bauska in Latvia in total brought together about 660 participants from both countries.

The participants received information about the Interreg Latvia – Lithuania programme’s 2014 – 20120 first call for proposals, the programme priorities, requirements and conditions.

The first call for proposals in open from 29th April to 5th August 2016 till 12:00 (EET).

The Programme has 4 priorities:

1. Sustainable and clean environment through cooperation
2. Support to labour mobility and employment
3. Social inclusion as a precondition to territorial development
4. Improved quality of living through efficient public services and administration.

 

The total Programme co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund amounts to EUR 51.6 million euros and will be allocated to projects contributing to the Programme objectives. The eligible project activities are co-financed by the Fund at the rate of 85 %.
