The necessity of a baby changing station in the town can be only understood by those, who walked with their newborn child. Imagine: April, start of spring. You are walking around the town, your three month old offspring is sleeping in a pram, the sun is shining, but the air is rather fresh. You are dreaming about warm summer days. And then…
Your baby is starting to turn around, is very impatient and disgruntled. You understand that something is not good, and you remember that it’s time to change nappies. But where?! It’s too cold outside, so you have to run home or to find a shelter where to do this important job.
Unfortunately, in Ludza Town there has no been a comfortable place, where a young mother or father could change nappies. Even cafes cannot be proud of such an extra option. But recently Ludza Town Library has installed a baby changing station in one of its WC. There is also a special wastebin for nappies.
It is a small thing, but creates comfort and a feeling that someone is taking care of you and your child.
Ludza Town Library is equipping a game room and hopes that it will be attended by young mothers who will be able to evaluate the new purchased station.
