In the frame of the Project “Joint and interdisciplinary long-life learning training for professionals working with neurosensorimotor disorders (Interprof)” were organised Dolphin assited therapy training sessions for professionals working with neurosensorimotor disorders from Lithuania (9-10th August) and Latvia (23th October). The training program aim was to expand knowledge and acquire skills about Dolphin Assisted Therapy (DAT) for specialists working with patients with neuro sensomotor disorders. During this module participants absorbed material on the applied principles of DAT in Lithuania and other countries. The Dolphin Assisted Therapy centers worldwide were overviewed and discussed (USA, Israel, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania, et.al.) as well as pet – therapy impact on the organism of human being. Conducted studies, research and regulation were presented. Different methods of therapy were analyzed, as well as ethical issues and welfare of dolphins. Participants have been learning working with individual cases: involving one case study method, problem solving, programs for the clients.
