In the frame of the Project “Joint and interdisciplinary long life learning training for professionals working with neurosensorimotor disorders (Interprof)” were organised music therapy training sessions for professionals working with neurosensorimotor disoreders from Latvia (17th May) and Lithuania (28-29th May). The training program aim was to expand knowledge and acquire skills about music therapy for specialists working with the patients with neurosensorimotor disorders. Basic knowledge on theory of music therapy is mastered – development of music therapy, different points of view, various trends of contemporary music therapy and perspectives for application of educational, medical, psycho-therapeutic etc, music therapy and significance to health, self-education and socialization. Moreover, during the practical classes professionals were introduced with music therapy methods/techniques, instruments and application possibilities in order to know how to apply music therapy for patients with neurosensorimotor disorders depending on the person’s needs.
