Speech therapy for Lithuania and Latvia specialists

In the frame of the Project “Joint and interdisciplinary long life learning for professionals working with neurosensorimotor disorders (Interprof)” were organized speech therapy training sessions for professionals, working with neurosensorimotor disorders, from Latvia (23 th August) and Lithuania (26-27 th August). The training program aim was to develop the professional competencies of specialists working in rehabilitation about neurogenic communication disorders. The main focus was on principles on acquired cognitive-linguistic disorders in adults. The introductory information was about aphasia, cognitive-linguistic disorders associated with traumatic brain injury, the language of generalized intellectual impairment and right hemisphere syndrome. The training module increased skills and expand knowledge of specialists about the screening of acquired cognitive-communicative disorders as well as basic principles of the speech and language rehabilitation.
