Version 4 of Communication Guidelines issued

18 June 2018

To comply with amendments in the 1st call Programme manual, the Joint Secretariat had amended some of the requirements in Communication Guidelines on 14 June 2018. Some of the requirements towards project communication activities were softened, and also some of the requirements were explained in more explicit. From now on Version 4 of the Communication Guidelines is applicable to all ongoing projects of the Programme.

We would like to pay attention to these changes in the Guidelines:

  1. Requirement for sending two press releases during the project implementation was changed from mandatory to recommendation.
  2. With some exceptions mandatory requirement for labelling of equipment purchased from now on became highly recommended.
  3. Labelling of specialised with the Programme logo is mandatory.
  4. In case many items purchased within the project are located in one room or premise and they are not movable, it is mandatory to display an informative plaque in the room or premise.
  5. In exceptional and well-justified cases (for example due to technical limitations) the minimised version of logo in size bigger that 60 mm can be used. However, the full size logo should be placed on package if the item has one.
  6. New section on Processing of personal data have been added to the Communication guidelines.

To clarify the requirements and to make guidelines more user-friendly some other editorial and technical changes were done as well. For example:

  • An overview of mandatory and recommended communication activities for projects is provided in table 1.
  • Communication guidelines sections 2.1 Websites and social media and 2.8 Marking of infrastructure objects were divided into several subsections, like 2.1.1 Project section on the project partners’ websites, 2.1.2 Websites created or updated within the project, 2.1.3 Social media, and 2.8.1 Marking of infrastructure objects in the case of investments in one place exceeding 500 000 EUR, 2.8.2 Marking of infrastructure objects in the case where investments in one place do not exceed 500 000 EUR).

Updated Communication Guidelines can be downloaded here. For the convenience of the users updated parts are marked in yellow. We encourage project partners of on-going projects to check if they are following the latest version of the Guidelines – Version 4, as of June 2018.
