Projektā “Sadarbība, kapacitātes stiprināšana un kopīga risku mazināšana Latvijas un Lietuvas medicīnas un glābšanas personālam ēku sagruvumu gadījumā” plānotas kopīgas praktiskās mācības, imitējot ēkas sagruvumu ar daudz cietušajiem pierobežas teritorijā. Tāpat tiks izstrādātas rekomendācijas un mācību materiāli dienestu darbiniekiem, kā arī izglītota sabiedrība par drošu rīcību ārkārtas situācijās. Projekta ietvaros tiks iegādātas arī atsevišķas tehnikas vienības un aprīkojums dienestu Latgales un Utenas apriņķa reģionālajām struktūrvienībām, kas stiprinās to spēju reaģēt gan ikdienā, gan ārkārtas situācijās.

Ceturtdien, 27.aprīlī, plkst. 11:00 Daugavpilī plānots projekta atklāšanas pasākums, kurā tiksies visu iesaistīto dienestu vadības un reģionālo struktūrvienību pārstāvji.

Will strengthen the Latvian and Lithuanian rescue and emergency medical service cooperation and efficiency to work in emergency situations in border areas

State Emergency Medical Service in cooperation with the State Fire and Rescue Service, Utena district Fire and Rescue Service (Lithuania) and Utena district Primary Health Care Centre (Lithuania) initiated implementation of the European Regional Development Fund financed project, what foresees for the border areas between two countries to strengthen cooperation and effectiveness in helping people in emergency situations, as well as to educate the society about safe behaviour.

In the project „Cooperation, capacity building and common risk mitigation for Latvian and Lithuanian medical and rescue personnel in case of building collapse” is planned a joint practical exercises, simulating a building collapse with a lot of victims in the border area. Similarly, recommendation and training materials for personnel will be developed, as well as educating the society on safe handling in emergencies. Within the framework of the project will be purchased individual machines and service equipment for Latgale and Utena districts regional units, which will strengthen their ability to respond to both everyday and emergency situations.

Thursday, in April 27, at 11:00 in Daugavpils is planned a project opening event, bringing together all involved services managements and representatives of the regional departments.

About the project

The project „Cooperation, capacity building and common risk mitigation for Latvian and Lithuanian medical and rescue personnel in case of building collapse” (abbreviated – ResCo) has been prepared within the Latvian – Lithuanian Cross Border Cooperation program 2014 – 2020. The total funding of the project is 556 970, 47 EUR, of which 85% is financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Project must be implemented within two years – until 31 March, 2019.
