The seminar “Intergenerational conflicts, their causes, consequences, work with them, and prevention, possible prevention or how to avoid conflicts, is prevention possible at all” (second day) (project LLI-513)

This seminar is the last of planned 4 joint seminars for volunteers from project partners from Lithuania and Latvia. The aim of the trainings is to empower volunteers of different age groups to help their members of community in need. All joint training activities will be organized as 2-days seminars for two groups: the elders (16 participants, 8 from Lithuania and 8 from Latvia, topics 2 and 3) and the youth (16 participants, 8 from Lithuania and 8 from Latvia, topics 1 and 3) who can contribute in provision of social services to their community members. Some of the trainings will be covering study visits to local NGO’s and social service providers having volunteers in Panevėžys, Šiauliai, Klaipėda, Iecava regions, and experience changes with Klaipeda City Care Home who was one of partners in the project LLI-1 „Joint competence center for smart elderly care social services development“ (Joint smart social services).

Planned topics for joint seminars:

1. Volunteering and its Influence on Youth Socialization (Organized by Lead partner Pakruojis District Municipality Administration – LP, group of participants – youth).
2. Reducing the consequences of the aging process by including them in voluntary activities (Organized by LP, group of participants – elders).
3. Prejudices and stereotypes, anyone aged, including the young, specifics of generations and how to understand it, conflicts between generations and how to avoid them (2 joint seminars: 1 for youth, 1 for elders, organized by project partner Bauska Municipality Government – PP2).
