A wide development of computer networks and software technologies in the 21st century has led to the situation that computers, networks and software became the tools of not only lawful activities but also the tools of crimes that may be committed in cyberspace. Such tendencies increasingly lead to the fact that law enforcement authorities are facing considerable challenges in combating Cybercrime. This phenomenon is borderless; consequently, the best way to fight these types of crime is closer and more active law enforcement cooperation.
The threat of terrorism also remains a huge problem across Europe. Law enforcement authorities have to stay alert and work together closely to cope with this challenge.
The thematic meeting is going to organized at March 28-29, 2019 in Anikščiai, Lithuania.
Participants: Only 20 representatives of 4 Latvian and Lithuanian law enforcement authorities.
