Summer camp “Nature is our home”

LLI-317 Improvement of Quality and Accessibility of Social Services in Mid-Baltic Region (SocQuality)

Rokiskis Youth Center organizes the children’s summer camp “Nature Is Our Home”, which will take place in rural tourism homestead “Vieversyne” Vaineikiai village, Rokiskis district. The camp is organized within 2014-2020 INTERREG V-A Latvian-Lithuanian program project “Improvement of Quality and Accessibility of Social Services in the Mid-Baltic Region” No. LLI-317.

Participants are invited from the project partners municipalities – Dobele, Auce, Jaunjelgava, Viesīte, Rokišķis, Joniskis, Kretinga, as well as one municipality selected by Zemgales planning region from the region.

In the camp the participants will be accommodated, catered for 4 times a day and will be took place workshops and trip to Rokiskis. During the workshops the participants will be provided with materials and there will not be additional costs.

During the camp will be took place the workshops of old folk crafts and modern art which will be lead by specialists in their field. All leaders speak Russian.

The camp leader is Sandra Cibinskaite, manager of non-formal child education programs, working at Rokiskis Youth Center. She has teamwork experience, knowledge and application of non-formal education methods, creativity and managerial competences. The camp leader ables to connect with children of all ages. She will be responsible for implementing of the 7-day camp agenda (sporting activities, entertainment, games, etc.).

Each project partner selects 4 children aged 10-14 and appoints 1 accompanying person. He/she will be responsible for communication, childcare. Project partners will take care of the arrival of the participants to the camp.
