The European Commission (EC) had officially approved closure of the Latvia-Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 (Programme) on 15 November, 2017. It comes 8 months after the submission of closure documents to the EC on 30 March, 2017 and  Programme is among one of the first INTERREG programmes to be closed. This was achieved thanks to the effective cooperation between the institutions involved in the implementation of the Programme, as well as with the support by the Joint Monitoring and Steering Committee and the EC.

This is a great milestone for the Programme as it’s celebrating it’s 10 year anniversary. The Programme was approved by the EC on 17 December 2007.

We are happy, that the close cooperation between institutions and project partners continues during the next generation of the Programme – through joint projects within the Interreg V-A Latvia-Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020.
