Open call is launched for applications for Liepaja’ s five-day long program of practical seminars and creative workshops “Synergy of audio and visual identity” within the framework of the project “Paradigm shift from traditional to creative industries – the essence for sustainable regional development” (CCI & Sustainability).
The Centre of Competency Based Professional Education “Liepaja Music, Art and Design School” (PIKC LMMDV) announces an open call for applications to take part in a one-week program of practical seminars and creative workshops “Synergy of audio and visual identity”. Through educational activities, it is planned to raise awareness of the use of design terms and their difference: brand sound design, video sound design, urban sound design (spatial environment etc.). Audiovisual language enables an individual to perceive information through a variety of perceptual channels. Sound identity becomes as important as graphic design, because for a modern person who practices multitasking in almost every life situation, audio messaging helps to convey and / or receive the desired message. The activity will be implemented in cooperation with the Latvian Sound Designers Club. The five-day session will focus on gaining an understanding of sound design and developing a visual-auditory identity. The participants will be able to use the knowledge gained for marketing purposes of their organizations or other creative activities.
Practical seminars and creative workshops will be held from 19 to 23 November in Liepaja, Concert Hall Great Amber Liepaja Music, Art and Design School premises.
Four participants from Lithuania – two from Klaipeda Culture Communication Center (KKKC) and two from Vilnius Art Academy Nida Art College, as well as two from Kuldiga, Latvia, are invited to participate in the Open Program of Practical seminafrs and Creative Workshops “Synergy of audio and visual identity”. The cost of their accommodation, catering and tutorship will be covered by the funds of the project CCI & Sustainability.
