Directorate of Zagare Regional Park organizes the training for tourism sector professionals „Geological heritage: how to understand it and use for tourism“ . It is an opportunity to understand the newest trends in maintaining and promoting nature tourism sites, marketing channels, quality aspects, specifics of geological and geomorphological sites, their origin, some examples of best practices. Main themes of the trainings will be also geological and geomorphological aspects. During the training information for tourism sector professionals will be provided how to present exclusively geological objects for the visitors. Dr. Jonas Satkūnas from Lithuanian Geological Survey and Nature Research Center will present Disclosure of geological heritage – magic and practice, Dr. Gintare Slavinskiene from Nature Research Center will speak about springs in Lithuania. After lunch break Agne Jasinaviciute from the State Service for Protected Areas will present opportunities to get to know the protected geological heritage in Lithuania, President of the Lithuanian Guides’ Union and Lecturer at Kaunas College of Forest and Environmental Engineering Linas Daubaras will explain about the use of natural values for tourism in Lithuania and other countries: experience and forecasts, President of the Tourism Marketing Association Danute Mazeikaite will speak about marketing channels and aspects of tourist destinations.

Place: ZOOM platform. Link for participation will be provided for the registered participants day before event.
Trainings will be free of charge. Target group of the training: individual/ physical persons, municipal or state institution employees who interested in tourism sites, responsible for elaboration, implementation and promotion of tourism products and services.
